The build doc for the 2.4r2 recommends about a 3mm gap between the zrail and the base, so this cover sitting at 5mm was too thick to slip in between the extrusion and the rail.  I didn't feel like adjusting the rail to sit higher so I just scaled this to 50% on the Z and it fit and worked perfectly.  Great design overall other than that!

I created modified ones here: https://github.com/silverbp/voron-2.4-parts to account for the 2.4r2 3mm gap, it just goes around the rails. I also recessed the screws so you could use an m3 x 6 screw, an m3 x 8 will work too, but it bottoms out right as it gets tight.

If I knew how to make the entire thing thicker, I would have done that by a mm which would have solved the m3 x 8 bottoming out... that's beyond the scope of what I know how to do in fusion 360 with the beveled edges there.

Actually I found the step file, figured out how to remove the edge, now it's 1 mm thicker, so a thicker usb cable can get through and this also gives more room to sink a 8mm m3 screw.

Printing them now 😉 Thanks! Hope they fit 😉

So since I mirrored the initial design to create the other side, the logo is mirrored and incorrect :). But I don't care that much.. @Demosth fixed his.. I didn't fix mine.

There is a problem with your Step files. The B cover file doesn't have the notch for the rail but the STL does

The newer ones dont have a cutout anymore for the rail, and dont fit....

I have overwritten the old ones, someone still got them maybe, hopefully my adjustment too for the mirrored logo?

EDIT: found my mirrored onein above post from myself 😛  so now only the left one 😛

Thank you, I have the new ones and had to move the rail up for them to fit properly. With these, I can move the rail back down.

Yeah, I dont get the new ones, why the cutouts were taken off, since indeed, you need to raise your rail, the default 3mm (by manual) doesnt fit. must have been a mistake but creator hasnt corrected it (yet).
