The parts you combined were the Front and pcb upper.

I will try to find some time to work on this but my priority right now is the Vorpal 180. Also, I don't want to get stuck chasing beta versions. Their beta_4 is in blue. The PCB mount has been moved back and the lower section has changed a bit.

Yeah sure  gotta set prioritys, i will run with the beta3 then for the time beeing, arriving at building the gantry right now so i printed the mashup of the beta3. Adding some supports worked great and they even came off with just pulling it of the buildplate  the supports just stuck to the plate. Lets see how this works out, maybe i can get the gantry assembled today. still got wiring etc to do though. So first startup will still be a few days in the future.

Can I use BTT Knomi or will there be an update on the design soon ?

I will have to check the 3D model but it doesn't look like it will be very easy.

The friend who did this made an edit on tinkercad.

That is brilliant!

Looks like it is for the LGX Lite but then it should fit with the Orbiter as well. I'm just not sure about the USB-C cable. Is that there only for programming it?

The other tricky part is that I would need to make 24 new shroud files for each extruder.

Oh heck yeah thanks so much for taking the time, will get this printed asap. I will see if i can assemble everything today aswell (disassembling and assembling those little toolheads always takes a Bit, they are so dang Compact for what they all do)

Do you want to check if this works? It is for the Revo Voron but if you use a different hotend then just let me know. It uses a modified LED carrier. The display should hook under at the top and use two M3x4 BHCS at the bottom.

I just finished assembly, the beta 4 carriage is also installed and feels great  one set of heatsets is a bit difficult to get to but works. Other then that it seems to look great. Here are some Pictures of the finished toolhead

has anyone done a barf carrier ?

I had made a BARF carrier but I think that @Wick made a better version that should be stronger and print easier.

Thanks just can’t decide if to put the barf on the v0.2 bed or mini stealth

Hey, I noticed that the Motor bridge frame has only on pair of heatsets on the underside (print orientation), could you add some on the upper holes aswell? Screwing them in the plastic is a bit woobly since the "lever" action with umbilical/can is a bit much. Maybe making it a bit thicker where possible could also help this.

Also a heatset where the cable door screws into would be a welcome addition too

The problem with adding threaded inserts there is that the threads wouldn't align with the threading of the stepper motor. This would make a gap between the back of the stepper and the face of the bridge.

A better way of making the bridge more secure would be to insert M3x35 screws from the back, all the way through to the front and then secure the extruder with hex nuts.

I can't seem to find any 3D model for the Mellow Fly-Halo. Their GitHub only has documentation and pinout info..

Those dimensions should be close enough to use the Rapido HF shroud and it has the same hole pattern as the Dragon heat sink.

I am working on it but it is going slowly.
