Voron Trident 350 extremely slow build

No it's not skipping steps. The tension on the latch, that's a tough one. I sort of tightened it tlll it felt ok. It seems to work fine. I saw a fine tuning guide but it involved removing the stepper motor from the extruder and I wasn't willing to go that far. I did all the tensioning steps in the build manual.

Do I have to live with the scrapes

I was trying to give an answer that did not sound like I'm being cheeky (comment about raising the ceiling or replace the acrylic with something harder). I suspect it wil be difficult to avoid damage.

Since it's a trident and the head only moves in the X/Y plane(s) you might be able to shorten the bowden to prevent it riding up. There's also that bowden guide which might help to prevent the bowden from riding up by keeping it under control nearer the top of the printer.
