Wiring all done.

 

Amazing how much wire you do not use by installing a Canbus. The kit came with an excellent wiring kit, but these are all "left-overs"

Have ordered a few more Mellow Fly SB2040 to convert the red/yellow 2.4 to canbus.

Just used 24V white neopixels connected to HE0 as a caselight setup for the chamber lights.

On the Trident build, I used an old telephone jack to connect the data lines to the octopus. This time around I decided to useon of those adapters mentioned in another thread on teamfdm. Whilst it works, I feel it is clumsy and insecure - extends quite a bit out of the board. But that is just me being fussy,

The Umbilical mod is not yet finished as this will be done when installing the panels. Decided not to use the A Motor to accept the umbilical but rather attached a PG9 adapter to the rear panel (Top-Right). More on that in the panel section.

Well, she is alive !

Lots more to be done before I even think of testing, And remember - the ERCF still to be build and installed. Maybe a separate build diary?

It has a pivot on it and when moving the bed manually, it does not collide. Time will tell I guess

I think it is worth it and the technology and compatibility is getting better. Just ordered a Mellow Fly SHT v2 board to test. But must say am very happy with the SB2040 on the Trident. (Once I sorted all the teething problems)

Ah yes.... I must admit, those look pretty nice, still not convinced about the nevermore since I feel all arflow will go OVER the pallets instead of trough.. but pallets look nice, and I use the filter in the Exhaust filter too...

Sinve I saw your post, I installed the VFach as well. Seems to be working well in conjunction with the nevermore. But then it may just be perception

True, I had them together also before, and seems to work well, the nevermore does multiple passes of course on the same air, so it doesnt have to be 100% efficient, and the VFach will take out the rest.

I have been printing with only VFach too, and if installed well (so that the tape doesnt let go) it works pretty well, no obvious smell.. but some ABS brands just really smell bad.. and I mostly print PLA and ASA.

Build Manual  pages 240 - 262 Skirts

Mods: BTT Pitft50 v2, Voron Nozzle skirt

All went well, and no real issues as long as you follow the model. PiTFT to run klipperscreen. (I am now collecting a hell of a lot of mini 12864 screens). Did the Revo Nozzle skirt mod and am printing a mirrored version to go on the left side as well.

I am quite sure its the BTT (PiTFT) 4" touch display, same as I always use.

Mods: Rock-n-Roll, Umbilical in rear panel, VFach Filter

Well this part of the build has come to an end. Thoroughly enjoyed this one and very happy with the end result.

Printer homing well, QGL appropriately and Voron Tap Accuracy 0.00115 (without heatsoaking the chamber)

Needs to open the Ellis tuning guide.

        

Even printed some fan covers to "fit the theme"

 

Will spend some tuning, make a serial video, submit
