Here's some modified inserts to the V0.1 magnetic panels design by bravefruitcake, I've made a single filler piece with option for single screw mounting, optionally a filler that has built in handles, and a filler that lets a nevermore filter be magnetically mounted with a magnet power connector. Turn it on/off by snapping it on / off. Also a strong magnetic rear panel mount. Magnetic electric connector was from aliexpress 'Magnetic Connector 2 Pole Pogopin Male Female 2A Spring Loaded Pogo Pin Waterproof Pad DC Power Charging Connector'
  2. Thought I ask. Looking for a STL for Voron 1.8 gantry XY joint uppers with MGN12H rail mods. Anyone know where I can find them?
  3. Hi all! I've been printing for...uh...a bit, but I discovered the Voron community around August 2020, and decided that it was a good fit for what I wanted to become my 'workhorse' printer. Over the course of 2021 I started buying parts and printing pieces on my Delta, and on August 18 2021 I had a fully functional V1.8! (though quite a ways away from a serial, I'm still working towards that and cleaning up massively). That being said, Trident was announced on August 15 2021, so mine will probably be one of the last V1.8 serials, but oh well, it prints great! (plus my upgrade budget to Trident is going to have to happen another year lol) I'd love to eventually either get a V0 or help someone else build one, but for now I'm just improving, tuning, and generally enjoying my V1.8. ABS and PLA turn out beautifully, PETG looks meh (but I think it's more the filament I'm using) though I still have some upgrades that are in progress/staged. I've also been CADing up mods as I've need them, it's very much not a stock machine, though generally not in a good way (making do with what I have, most of the time haha). I stream FreeCAD from time to time, mostly for printer mods and upgrades, sometimes other parts. I also have a Thangs page for when I make anything remotely useful and feel like publishing it (both are also happylittlepcbs), also on twitter @commonmodechonk (if I'm streaming I'll usually say something about it there) Posting from Philadelphia area, really looking forward to going back to ERRF this year! ~happylittlePCBs
  4. Time and time again, the question is asked, "What is the difference between Voron Printers?". Below is a quick overview of the differences and what is great about each. V0 - Voron0 tiny, cute, fast. I hope you like 120*120mm. The cheapest full build option can print all the required parts for any other Voron build. V1 - Voron1 is a classic fixed-top gantry, moving bed. 250-300mm. Currently doesn't have automatic bed leveling; next version will. V2 - Voron2 is a flying gantry, fixed bed. Probably most popular overall, but also the most expensive. It has the largest potential build volume, up to 350mm cubed. VS - VoronSwitchwire is a CoreXZ design with bed flinger. It might be cheapest if you have a printer to cannibalize VL - VoronLegacy is a specialized one in the lineup for v1.6 that you don't want to replace with rails. It's a throwback model intentionally if you like old-school designs with some modern enhancements. VK - VoronKit was produced for minimal time; these are no longer produced and no longer available for purchase. Voron Serial Registry: Currently issued serials as of July 13, 2021: V0: 581 V1: 261 V2: 1658 VK: 19 VL: 25 VS: 191 Total: 2735. NOTE: This is not an extensive list of all Vorons built, the users who produce the second or third Vorrons may not request a serial number to be included in the registry, but it will give a rough idea of what is out there. Additionally you can find longer descriptions in this FAQ
