Reran Shaper today with the printhead in the middle:

Hopefully this code is correct. Going to run it and see what happens.

[input_shaper]
shaper_freq_x: 66.6
shaper_type_x: mzv
shaper_freq_y: 45.0
shaper_type_y: mzv

[printer]
max_accel: 5800 # should not exceed the estimated max_accel for X and Y axes

So its probably time to get both my electronics fans working. Doesn't seem to be anything made for it in the formbot kit. I'm thinking routing the fans to a wago (using this mount), then crimping a JST connector on to combine the two fans. I printed two for whenever I add fans to the other side. But might be a bit before installing.

I also printed the Z Motor Covers.

PTFE Guide - Should keep it off the top 'glass' but can't undo my scratches. 😢

Looking at filters/air circulation (again):

I may also print the Voron Fume Pack, it at least keeps out of the way. But if I ever want to run chamber exhaust outside it gets in the way. I had looked at the Shaft, which seems like it would manage air circulation more. Was originally thinking Nevermore V6, but it doesn't really fit the trident imo. Same with 'The Filter'.

(I'd have printed it but I'm 2hrs into a 7hr print...)

Its been 2 months since my first post. I think I stopped counting "days" at 15ish, in theory days that I worked on it for ~2-4hrs. Klipper was probably another 5 of those days. I printed it on my Ender 3 with Lack Enclosure with about 400hrs of print time (some amount of that being reprints). On the Voron printed spares of the internal functional parts (drive units, z bed, etc) in 17hrs... which took about 60hrs on the ender and multiple build plates.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't ready to do another one. But that'll have to wait until this ones more 'complete' and give some time for my wallet to regenerate.

😆 Isn't that the truth? As soon as one is done you're starting to think about the next one.

I'm just distracting myself with how I can get a resin printer set up right now.

Fume Pack - Previously Mentioned, Printables Here.

No real build guide so I winged (wung'd?) it. Drill template helps and its fairly self explanatory I suppose. Used 1/8th, 3/16th drill bits, and 1-1/2" hole saw. Best to drill from inside to outside because the pack will cover any blowouts (screws covered the chips I had). Attached drill guide to printer, drilled top two holes, put bolts and nuts then moved to drill the rest.

Wiring - Soldered the fan wires to a third bit of wire fed through that hole on the right side of the picture.

Front - And the fan wires I came through a hole that puts it right near the z chain. Just hiding behind it for now.

Filled it with carbon pellets too!

printer.cfg wise I just stole nevermores cfg and repurposed it. Might tweak it a bit. But using that and hitting print chamber came up to 35 from ~20 ambient by the time my mesh finished. Was capping out around 45 chamber with the big hole in the back.

While I was under the hood, I went ahead and wired in both my fans too. (Fan Skirt Wago Connectors)

It wasn't the easiest thing get put on and wired without taking everything apart. But panel snap latches save me every time I get into it. Ferrule tool comes in handy for wagos, I can't see putting stranded in them otherwise.

It no longer lives on the floor. Still quite a bit to move around, and will probably anchor the shelf to the wall, then rerun input shaper when I'm done moving everything around. Ender is going to lose its lack and go on the shelf too. Eventually I'll get some drawers made for filament underneath. And I'm thinking of doing a RepRack on the right side to feed filament instead of the internal spool holder.

I was short on filament too, but my Ambrosia ASA order came in:

Should hold me over for a while. The sparkly pink and blue for if when I build another voron or rebuild the Ender, because the main thing I've learned here is everyone needs a pink and blue 3d printer.

It looks like I broke it. Made a decent run without much fuss until nearly the end of a 6hr print.

Stats20250205.thumb.jpg.92b089158631e56ebd805b143bffeb7f.jpg

Error:

TMC 'stepper_z2' reports error: DRV_STATUS: 801300a0 s2vsb=1(ShortToSupply_B!) olb=1(OpenLoad_B!) cs_actual=19 stst=1

I haven't dug into the printer itself or the error code much. Seems to be a wiring thing that usually comes up during the build. Possibly stepper/driver/wiring dead. Klipper Docs for TMC

Probably check continuity for the wires. Possibly swap the drivers and see if the error jumps from z2 to somewhere else. Just need to open it and take a peek I suppose.

Yep, I'd start with wiring. While I didn't get any error messages, my extruder motor behaved really strangely all of a sudden once. It turned out the wiring was wearing out and one of the motor wires was broken. Replaced the wire harness and all is well again.

Time for another driveby update. Z2 issues again:

TMC 'stepper_z2' reports error: GSTAT: 00000004 uv_cp=1(Undervoltage!)

I replaced the driver (or so I thought). And while trying to troubleshoot had to reinstall klipper because it died at some point (web ui has been saying its corrupted for a while, I ignored because it was working). After getting klipper back and swapping my wires from z1 to z2 the error stays. Got the right driver changed (one more over) and it was back to homing again, then swapped wires back to the right motors.

Posting so maybe it helps someone else if they get the same error.

The printer turned off on a 5hr print that only had 20 quick layers left. Maybe something in my setup is over-stressing that stepper driver? Too hot because of its location? Would expect if it was power issues I'd kill more than z2.
