Setting up Auto Z Calibration - Probe samples exceed tolerance errors

JohnInOr

Question

I am trying to set up the klipper_z_calibration plug in for the first time.  On an LDO Voron 2.4 with Klicky Probe.  Homing,  QGL and bed mesh complete without any errors.

When I run calibrate_z, the klicky probe is attached and then the probing with the nozzle to the z endstop starts.  It always fails with “Probe samples exceed tolerance”.  This is the console output:

12:24 PM Probe samples exceed tolerance
12:24 PM probe: TRIGGERED

Look in your printer.cfg file under the [probe] section. Try changing the samples_tolerance to a larger value. It looks like you're failing out at about 0.03 difference.

Thank you.   I realized that the XY coordinates for the Z endstop were causing the nozzle to hit near the edge of the plunger rod.  I adjusted the XY to get closer to the center of the rod and while I still see occasional retries, but the probing ends up completing.  I can look at changing the tolerance if I need to.
