Thank you for the awesome assembly guide tested my buffer this morning had to slightly enlarge the hole the filament passes through on the PTFE guide. It works flawlessly 👌

Always happy to help -glad it came together so well!

Finally got my Mellow Buffer installed, was waiting on replacing the CB1 in my Manta 8P with a CM4 module. A word of advice: when installing the filament sensors module, ensure that all of the pins are properly inserted. The filament feed wasn't stopping because the sensor module wasn't installed properly. It's so nice not to have the " MCU too close" error!

Also glad to report the issue with the Orbiter filament sensor flashing between yellow and green is gone with the installation of the buffer. The issue was that Nylon filament is a lot stiffer than other filaments, and the PTFE tube was being pulled up and triggering the yellow LED.

I think there is a selection [Stepper Step Both Edge] when performing “Make Config” that needs to be selected.

Thanks, I double-checked my menuconfig setup, and that was checked. I ssh into the printer and did an update, and the error seems to be gone.

Hi everyone. I recently ordered a Mellow LLL Plus buffer to help feeding TPU on two of my printers. Once I got the TPU fed through the buffer properly, it worked great! But I had a hard time feeding it past the switch. The TPU would flex before entering the hole leading to the drive gear. It seems like the filament isn’t supported well on either side of the bearings that trigger the switch.  I’d like to add more support to the areas outlined in purple.  This is similar to many extruder designs.  Does anyone know if there is an updated design to improve this? If not, are there step files of the parts that I can use to modify the design?  TIA.
