A reflash of the Kraken fixed the issues.

It didn't make it easy, I tried the simple way - put the new firmware on the SD card. That way didn't work.

Then I tried doing it directly to the board with flash MAKEFLASH - also no joy.

What worked was Esoteric's way - install Katapult to the board, then use Katapult to flash the klipper to the board.

Yes, I followed Esoteric's guide but didn't set up the Canbus side of things.

I haven't tried it yet as I've been busy at work with a FMECA and looking after my moggy who's recovering from an operation. 

She makes keyboard access tricky.

She's on the mend.

Poor bugger can hardly walk.

The stitches come out next Monday and hopefully we can get rid of the body stocking.

Sterilisation on female cats is quite a major operation. Unfortunately, it's also very necessary.

Wish you quick recovery. No operation is fun, but she will forget the whole thing, and food, birds and lap or keyboard  time will be the first priority.

She is adorable!
