VORON TOWER

Uh, a drawer would be a pain, I can see that. Can't have much excess cable, but has to reach to the front.

I'm excited to see what you come up with in the end.

My 2.4 has the standard bay, first Voron I build, so I didn't want to complicate things. Backside electronics would have been no real hassle in retrospect, but I'm saying that, having not done it 🤭

yeah looking all solutions the backside is the best option in my head to this point, however, if i am doing this i will do in the first floor instead of the Voron floor that is the second, so i can make it contained inside the "tower"

I was thinking like the V0 in the lower section. It should be an easy addition of a couple of extrusions to create the framing to make a box down there within the current outer envelope. Then just mount everything vertically on DIN rails. Make a removable panel or door for the lower rear to protect all the angry pixies. It should be easy to run a couple of wiring looms up from there into the printer.

Having built a Voron 2.4 with electronics under the bed and a RatRig V-Core and VzBot with rear panel electronics bays...

I can say with confidence... Go with the rear bay. It's so much easier to work on.

i really appreciate the commentary and experience note, i will most probably be doing the electronics on the rear and in the bottom.

The back side of my V0.2. The power supply is underneath since there's not enough room on this printer, but this should give you the concept. So imagine that setup in the lower bottom back area of your tower.

Here's earlier in the build, just a frame. You see how the extrusions are set up to create an electronics bay in the back? So what I'm thinking you could do is add a couple of additional vertical extrusions on the side of the lower section to create the corners to attach panels to thus creating an isolated box within the overall frame envelope. Does that help?

ok got it, but this is the same concept as the voron 2.4 right ? where all electronics are under it, the tower is already designed as such, as i did copy everything i could from 2.4.

if nothing changes this would be the way to install it, but i really like the idea of installing the electronics in the lower back of the tower that way maintenance and instalation would be easier, and as a bonus i would get extra space to install a drawer in there.
