    Work Holding - Vise Two of the most used low-profile hobby vises are: Inception is made in the UK - Inception Site Link For USA/Canada West 3D stocks the vise - West 3D Site Link The other is Saunders Metal Work made in the USA - available in two formats, 1/4" and M6, which refer to the size of fasteners and spacing of the hole in the fixture plate. There are two generations of these vises: Gen 2 sold before 2025, Gen 3 sold in 2025. Parts are not interchangeable; both the complete vise assembly can be used with either generation. SMW Site Link Note: Both sites have CAD and CAM files available for download. I do not own an Inception vise, but plenty of hobbiests have installed them on their Milo. I do have the SMW vise and am very pleased with its function.
