Thanks a lot for this place, seeing an active forum is becoming so rare on the web nowadays, i have been forced to use Discord during my first Voron build, but is not the best place to create long discussions. 

Anyway, you can call me Synth (or Synth Birba),  I will soon update my profile with all details I cannot add on the mobile version of the website.

I started 3D printing 8 years ago, but I have a huge gap in years of not owning a printer caused by the frustation of my (already sold) Creality Ender 3.

Currently I have a Voron 0.2 (I will find where to upload a picture of it!) a ..bambulaba1.. that I will try to sell as soon as I can and replacing it with a Voron Trident or 2.4 , and a Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro that currently is sitting in the box of shame in my attic.

Hope I will find other passionate people and cats here!

Welcome Synth. You cannot go wrong with either of those two but having build two of each (Voron 2.4 and Trident), the Trident is the easier build and a great printer.

I agree will @mvdveer about the Trident being the first printer to be built.

One suggestion I will make is to build it as standard as documented in the built documentation, and when you have it working perfectly and you fully understand every part, then perform any “upgrades”. Furthermore, it will be easier to get help on a standard build than a custom one. Finally, pick the recommended hardware combinations in the build manuals, as some options do not work as well in certain builds. My 300 Voron is a good example. For the original build, I sourced all the parts (no kits were available then!), making all the cables and connectors myself. I choose for an extruder the Bondtech LGX and a Mosquito hotend. This combination worked great for the Afterburner toolhead but when I moved to the Stealthburner this combination was "dropped" from the "standard" build. So I went down the rabbit hole to the point I designed an entirely new toolhead the "Rabbit Hole" for regaining the full performance of my 350 Voron 2.4r2!
