Nice 1st part @PFarm 😎👍

Reminds me of a purchase we (work) made a few months back. We got a mini Swiss screw machine and the tech that needed to learn it began his learning journey with the most complex part that we have. He was getting frustrated, having a super hard time getting things to simulate in the CAM software, etc. and I had to step in and say, Bro... shelf the complex part for now and make these pins for me 1st. Once you can make simple stuff... we move on to something more complex.

Wow, not a cheap machine, it's for making precision small parts? Two spindles?

Cheap compared to a full-sized screw machine. It's basically a CNC lathe with a couple live spindles. What makes it different is that it can move the stock linearly where a CNC lathe has the stock locked in a chuck.

I design really small, complex assemblies and unfortunately the techs have to make and assemble them... Those gears are 1mm thick, 64:1 final ratio, driven by a 0.8mm Dia torque cable. Yeah, small stuff, that assembly is about the size of your index finger from the tip to the first knuckle.
