Your thought about an enclosed air cooled spindle

As I chug along with my Milo 1.5 build and applying some functional mods found in the forum, I found my self thinking why am I putting an air cooled spindle inside an enclosure… what’s your thought.. any overheating issues?

I’m in the same boat. LDO kit. Air cooled USA version 110v. Building the casa as well. Interested as to what others say including @PFarm’s thoughts.

Many are using air-cooled spindles inside the enclosure with no issues. I went with a water-cooled spindle because I already had most of the closed water-cooled system components.

I drilled some holes in the back plate for air to escape. Now that it's warm air it's exchanged readily. I figured it the radiator works on ice engines.

I’m thinking on doing almost the same but installing intake and exhaust fan.. Probably intake on top directly blowing towards the spindle.
