@NewGradRN There has been an update in the V2 wiring diagram. The UART and I/O connections have been moved to the Xmax Endstop. Nice and neat electronic bay! I'm not sure about the VFD connection to P12. Have you tried directing the question directly to Nine Miles on Scylla Discord?

Ok.. finally got my Milo all wired up. Thanks to PFarm and Nine Miles I got to wire up my G-Penny VFD to Scylla..'

and I am ready to fire it up to do pre-flight checks. Any advice before powering? Do's and Don't s.. Thanks

Thanks to all your help, my Milo is now live and moving.. hope it will be kicking soon 🤞... Following the Millennium Machine pre-flight check: checked all limit switches 👍, Homed all axis 👍 except Y home @ 208 X and Z @ Zero... Tried to look if that was an error but seems to be the normal position for Milo. Next was to calibrate the stepper motors. This is where it's kinda confusing...

First is the X axis:

The original reading was 0->100 = 100.04, ->200=200.2, and ->250=250.28  then back to zero=0

Reading calibrated to 250mm was 0->100 = 99.94, ->200=199.98, and ->250=250.0 then Back to zero=0 (repeated 3x)

Reading calibrated to 200mm was 0->100 = 99.95, ->200=200.00, and ->250=250.04 then Back to zero=0 (repeated 3x)

Reading calibrated to 150mm was 0->100 = 99.97, ->200=200.04, and ->250=250.08 then Back to zero=0 (repeated 3x)

Next is the Y Axis:

The original reading was 0->60 = 60.04, ->120=120.20, and ->180=180.42 then back to zero=0

Reading calibrated to 180mm was 0->60 = 59.92, ->120=119.94, and ->180=180.00 then back to zero=0 (repeated 3x)

Reading calibrated to 120mm was 0->60 = 59.95, ->120=120, and ->180=180.09 then back to zero=0 (repeated 3x)

I did the Z axis the same way and the results are inconsistent as well

Any suggestions or advise?

I tram the X and Y level of work table surface to the spindle and I got lucky enough to have +- 0.01mm play in both directions end to end so further zeroing would be much easier. Initially there was too much inconsistency on the reading but I realize it was because the dial was moving as the spindle shaft tends to rotate so I made a clamp to secure the spindle shaft to the motor case. That solve the issue and got a repeated reading.

Printed the double indicator spindle tramming tool but it would not clear the spindle carried base to rotate.

Tramming the Z axis is not as easy X and Y... The Z axis even with all kind of added support ands brackets flexes when pressure is applied to about +.03mm up and down movement. Though not sure if that was from the plastic spindle mount.

Added the additional column support and also as tool to help zero the Z column

Without applied pressure, I got the Spindle tram to about + .005mm FBLR. 

Next will be the tool setter and the tool probe. 

First project will be an adapter mount for this aluminum spindle mounts. This will be my first mod. The adapter mount like on V2 will mount on the existing Z plate. The additional thickness of the plate will also work to recoup the lost Y space due to the installation of the chip guard at the rear.

Got the tool setter and the touch probe recognized by the system. Hit a snag on the spindle. It was first rotating the wrong way so I swapped out V and W on the VFD and it's now going the right way.  But... I hit a snag and just can't figure it out...

I double checked the VFD-Scylla connections, they are correct as indicated by the guide for H100 posted by Miles on Discord.

This is what I have as setting on my VFD. They were copied from the posting on discord as well except changing some parameter for 220v system.

That did it.... Thanks... I can control the RPM now via the dashboard.  I will need to do some calibration.. seems the RPM difference is much larger on the plus side when spinning slower and gets smaller as I go faster.. On ward I go... Thanks again.

One problem after another... Need help please... Already browsed through the site and others but can't find any solution. Checked and rechecked my VFD (H100) parameters and they are proper according manual and other sources. The problem is that the VFD display shows 1800 rpm when turned on with the motor stopped. then 1800 rpm is add on to any given speed. For example when I put 5,000 rpm and run the spindle, VFD display and digi tach would show 6,793 or so. took a meter reading on AI1 (Scylla side) to ground and getting 0.689v with motor stopped. Any advice.. Thanks

Thanks. Yeah I can't find any prior similar problem online as well. The only possible cause I can find are VFD settings and voltage leak to the wiring. I verified the VFD settings several time already. I just took out the shielded 6C cable from VFD to Scylla. I did not ground the shield when I first install it so I will ground it and see. I will reset the VFD if that don't work. I might as well order a Scylla also to compare. Thanks again

I reset the VFD (F013: 08)

Milo turned on goes to boot

Connects DUET on Milo wifi

MOS wizard pops up.. I press cancel (not sure if I should setup MOS with spindle problem)

- Still flashing 1800 rpm with spindle stopped but goes to proper rpm (somewhere close) when turned on. goes back to 0 rpm when turned off then it flashes 1800 rpm.

- When I pressed Home all, all axis move to home but the flashing 1800 rpm goes down to 1200 rpm and from there the spindle would only run half the ordered speed. 

Any advice please...

Ordered a new Scylla and thinking about a VFD as well.. Checked all my wiring and they are IAW Milo wiring diagram.

Got the VFD working with Scylla (RRF-Duet) .. MOS came pre-installed with the version of firmware I downloaded which was the July 24 2025  release. Got the Tool-setter and Touch probe configured and the fusion 360 post-processor installed.

Last hurdle (I hope) is to get MOS safety net working. Found PFarm info about it on Discord and Tried to follow it. This is what I have in the user-config.g

Initially without the M80. Machine will says trigger activated reset machine" and No safetynet dialog box. 

After I put M80, the activated trigger disappear and it will activate the contactor on boot and still no safety net dialog box.

Any suggestion please.. Thanks

I had the same issue, but I'm trying to remember what I did to correct it. Looking at my user-config.g there as M81 in there.
