Nitehawk LDO toolboard

Hi to everyone. I was thinking to update my Voron 2.4R2 with Nitehawk v 1.5 USB LDO toolboard. 
Still waiting for the parts but is there anything special to consider regarding installation? Any known issues regarding nitehawk SB toolboard?
My main objective is to have reliable connection with much less wires...

I did the conversion on my LDO revC 350 kit not too long ago; some items that may or may not be relevant:

  • I already had a 2m 3DO usb cable from a camera project I didn't follow-though on; I made an adapter with this breakout board and crimped the appropriate JST connector on the end that plugs into the toolhead board (for Cartographer sensor.)
  • run the umbilical from the exhaust port--coming over from the gantry by the B motor will become a untamed floppy mess without something just rigid and springy enough to hold everything up.  Even a loose attachment to the bowden feed tube is problematic.
  • how will you handle X/Y endstops?  I didn't have any luck with sensorless, and I have both the Cartographer CNC carriage and CNC gantry joints so I designed an endstop switch mount for my configuration

Hi. I was thinking to leave gantry chain and XY limit switch as a stock configuration, and run usb cable thru to the electronic bay. 

XY gantry is all metal so if mount needed then need to prints something.. 
Any issues with Nighthawk overheating ? My printer gets hot to about 50C when printing and nighthawk controller doesn't have any active cooling. Well my project is waiting for better times as I'm moving and everything is already packed for transport...lets hope that printers survives transportation to new location..

The board does seem register a temp up to 20c higher than the toolhead thermistor that isn't enclosed.  Doesn't seem to be an issue, but it's not like I have any data to compare to on the old setup.

I think a pi3 and a vanilla/base printer build can handle the new board, but if you added other usb-connected tools (camera, beacon/cartographer) then there's a strong possibility of getting "timer too close" shutdowns.  I just upgraded to a pi4 (4gb) and it seems to be ok so far...

..Okei. I have RPI4B with m2. ssd, and 5" touchscreen parred with 5V5A mean well psu. On the usb i have connected  cam, external usb port, octopus 429 1.1 control board. So this just might be something that needs my attention...
