Cartographer input shaper

Recommended Posts

I did input shaper last night because I added PicoMMU with four filament paths to my tool head.  It’s been over a year since I did the last calibration and was surprised when I started input shaper for X axis, my Y axis started moving in a steady rhythm back-and-forth while at the same time my x axis vibrated through the frequency like it should.  Y axis cal moved X back-and-forth rhythmically and vibrated Y like expected.  The graph looked pretty good for x and even though the Y had to limit the acceleration to 2000, it still came out normal looking.  I don’t remember my old input shaper process ever doing that with the dual moving axis during a tune.  I have cartographer with and asked in discord but didn’t get any reply.  My printer is printing pretty dang good so it must be normal?  Just curious is all.  I will look at https://github.com/Frix-x/klippain-shaketune to see if I can improve the Y acceleration

I just did input shaping on my RatRig V-Core 300 the other day and had the same experience. I thought it was some new RatOS feature... Good to know it's Klipper and will do the same on my other printers.
