Hello to all. Starting a V2.4r2 build and have been looking about at all the possibilities.

Been printing for about 5 years on various printer brands.  Lots of customization/upgrades to those 4 printers, 2 are Ender3s getting long in the tooth and not worth the constant upkeep. Plus, I just love the mechanical/electrical/system side of 3D printing, SO, I am taking on this new adventure.

Started a V2.4r2 build and have been looking about at all the possibilities. Just finished a square frame and moving on to rails, z-drives and all. I am so looking forward to having a new stable platform to print from...

Take care all and thanks for the welcome to the community.

Hi Nick!

Welcome and +1 on the build diary. It's a really good way to get all of your build related questions answered in addition to having a record of your build.

RS250Rw? A MotoGP, Aleix Espargaro fan maybe?

A number of us are motorcyclists, myself included.

Definitely a MotoGP Fan.  Own a 2000 RS250R.  CBR100RR, and a 2018 Goldwing.  Used to be a trackday junkie... Do more Goldwing riding these days though.  I will get on the Build log.  I am not very organized when it comes to stuff like that though.  I get stuff done when I have time and do not document much.

Yeah, I did a ton of trackdays back in the day. Places like Jennings GP (N Fla), Homestead (S.Fla), Little Tally, Road Atlanta, and a bunch in TX. I too am riding a Goldwing these days. Mine's a 2013 F6B, I'll get one of the next gen ones in the next year or so. Just waiting on one that was rode for a few thousand miles and then parked.

Current Goldwing...

A Laverda... Wow you don't see many of those anymore.

Nice BMW BTW. There look to be a lot of beautiful places to ride in Europe.

Texas has its beauty, but the landscape is closer to Spain or Italy... I'm right on the transition between desert and forest.

Here's a ride I took thru my area.

...and one from Big Bend

I attended trackdays at all the same places, except Homestead.  I also did a few over in South Carolina and at Roebling Road.  Fun time back in the day, but now I am enjoying riding my "agile couch" on wheels.

Hahaha I refer to mine as "The Road Sofa".

Actually, yours is the sportier of the last 2 generations, but still plenty comfy and oh how I wish I had end electric windshield some days.

I have a Kendon ride-on folding trailer. It was over-priced but it's so nice I really can't complain.

The rear part is hinged near the axel. You flip it over and stand the trailer up and roll it into the garage.

@RS250Rw I just realized that the trailer you mentioned is one you pull with your Wing. I have yet to pull a trailer on a bike. Probably an interesting experience, no doubt.

@Penatr8tor Yes, I pull a trailer behind the bike.  With the Bushtec trailer, you do not even know it is there most of the time.  Now if you try to get "sporty" it will most definitely let you know you are pulling.  Braking hard can get dicey if you really overdo it.  But honestly, most of the time, it is just a joy to have along for the ride.

I hear ya. I spent decades riding sportbikes with negative zero storage. Even my old wing without the tail storage has good storage capacity plus...

Cup Holder. 😁

I've seen Cruiseman and some other youtubers drag around trailers like their nothing, so it appears that they're a good stable solution.

I have a few things I want to do to my wing. It's the benefit of an older bike... there's more to mod. Anyways, I currently use a quadlock wireless charger on the handlebar for navigation, music, etc. It works well but the phone is subjected to a lot of vibration, bad for the camera lenses. To get the phone off the bar... I purchased a blue tooth android auto touch screen not too long ago that I want to create a mount for. That way the phone stays in my pocket and the screen just connects when the bike is powered on. There are other projects first tho, 😁
