So I have decoded I am going to bite the bullet and do a bit change to my printer as getting sick of changing fillaments and want to be able to do different colours in some prints as well and think I am going to do the tap changer mod going to set it up to handler the full 6 print heads bit not going to put them all in straight away going to go with the rapid burner head as this one can handle the rapido2 uhf that I am running and going to go with galleleo 2 as well but will be in the orbiter 2 print question for all you clever printers out there what ebb 36 board would u go with for canbus as I have to change my can board

This is going ro be a slow build as is going to be pricey but isn't that half the fun of coron printers

I recently printed the shuttle in SLM Aluminum via a service company. I then powder-coated it in holographic powder (I have been powder-coating for 6 years now).  I also think that Stealthchanger is a better shuttle and connection than Tap offers.

Stealthchanger uses rods, bushings, and magnets, while tapchanger uses just magnets. The bushings and rods give stealthchanger the advantage of preventing rotational movement of the tool head.

Another difference is that the Tapchanger Discord seems to be dead for the most part, while the Stealthchanger Discord is thriving. Also, you can get a serial number with Stealth.

It does sound interesting!

Please, let us know how the project goes.

I am little behind on Voron development. I am almost finished converting my 2.4r2 300x300 to Stealthburner, CNC-TAP and CAN using SB2209 CAN. Finally, if anyone is interested, I re-work the head to accommodate LGX mini extruder with Mosquito for the Stealthburner and SB2209 CAN.

Cheers!

Yeah I think it will be a fun challenge will keep the current config until I have all the bits printed and enough parts to get it back going quick not having a second printer makes it hard

Then that will be my next project a second printer mabie a voron 0.2

I was under the impression that the bearings were ment to stop the extra movement some of the videos I have watched said was not much in it but the rods were harder to get right which let's face it the cnc would get rid of that problem

Do u find your moves and are u using the square rods in the head or round rods for the bearing tracks or is that also aluminium printed as well

Hi BlackNet, that sounds really interesting. Any more info on the CNC parts from LDO and Fysetc?

Yeah this might make me change directions as from my reading the rods can be a little difficult to get right but that might be a early version

I would be highly interested. Looking to build a StealthChanger using a Mini Stealthburner with LGX Lite.
There seems to be a usermod for that alreadt: https://github.com/DraftShift/StealthChanger/tree/main/UserMods/jdmontgomer/MiniSB_SC

Here is what I have so far.  From what I have been told, some have been used in giveaways.  Soon is the word being used.

As for EBB, there is a new 'pro' version that will soon be released.  What I went with was the rpi2040 version.

Or maybe something fast like a VzBoT VZ300 AWD or a new RatRig V-Core 4, Voron ain't the only game in town ya know. 😉

So far I'v built 2 bed slingers (V-Minion & Switchwire), a Voron 2.4 and two CoreXY's the RatRig and the Vzbot that follow the same design as pretty much every CoreXY on the market like Bambu, Creality K1, Qidi, etc. and I can say with confidence that those two printers are the most reliable and best performing of all of my printers. The XY gantry is fixed to the top of the printer, where all the heat rises 😉😉 so printing ABS/ASA is a breeze and you don't need a Nevermore to more the heat around like a 2.4 does. Plus, the electronics are on the rear panel and that makes things way easier than having them on the bottom.

And the Voron 0.2 isn't a bad choice either.

I'm just dreaming out loud here so take my comments with a grain of salt. 😆

Nice but what does that have to do with tapchanger?
