Belated hello

Hello all,
I joined a while ago but clearly have not been very active. I picked up 3D printing several years ago and have been obsessed ever since. I started with a QIDI that served me well for some years. It is now retired but has been replace with an SK - Tank, Voron Trident, and Bambu X1C (Thank you In-Laws). I have recently acquired a Milo mini mill (in-progress) and a RatRig Vcore 4 500 Idex.
My strengths are in mechanics, electrical, and modeling/CAD as I am a professional sculptor at an OEM. Where I really struggle is the software/programing of the printers. As you will soon see that is where a majority of my questions will be focused. I am currently struggling to set up Can-Bus for my Voron trident, so if there are any generous experts out there that are willing to work with a troglodyte like myself, that would be much appreciated. (PS I did find https://canbus.esoterical.online/ but I am still struggling)
I also have a woodshop where I like to build various things. I work mostly from found wood that I scavenge from around the Detroit city area. I especially enjoy when I can merge the two hobbies. I have designed and printed blast gates for my dust collection system in my shop that work very well. I have also completed other smaller projects in my shop with the help of 3D printing. I look forward to combining the two hobbies in an artistic piece as well.

Thanks for listening

Chris

Welcome to the forum  Chris - lets us know what the specifics are that you need help with. Sure we can be of help. I am running Mellow Fly SB2040 Canbus boards on two tridents, two Voron 2.4's and a Switchwire. Running the BTT EBB36 Canbus boards on a VZBOt 330AWD and Micron 180.

Was looking at the RatRig VCore 4 500, but decided that the AUD4500.00 plus AUD1300 for the Idex upgrade (Total AUD5800) was too much to justify having one just because I wanted one. Will be interested in following your build. (Please share your journey in a build diary)

Both @PFarm and myself have ventured down the path of building a Milo and the progress is documented in the build diary section of the forum.

Looking forward to seeing some to the artistic creations.
