PolyTerra PLA

I wanted to print some tailored tackle boxes for my roving vest and I thought I'd give this PLA a try, mainly because I liked the colour.

I don't print a lot of PLA so am not really familiar with its traits. It did come out too bad. There were a number of artifacts (snots) that needed cleaning up.

Overall I'm pleased with the resuts, just go to print the TPU seals now.

@TitusADuxass I've printed a bunch of those rugged boxes. I have a secret stash of about 100 or so M3 x 30mm stainless socket heads just for various rugged boxes. I print quite a bit of PLA and the matte polyterra is some nice stuff. Very uniform and not any variation between orders that I can detect. My other goto for PLA that's very similar is Overture matte PLA.

Increase the number of top layers to get rid of the infill showing thru. But you probably already figured that out. Not enough reason to reprint for a photo. If you haven't printed with TPU... less pressure on the extruder tension spring is better than more tension as the more you squish the filament with the gripper wheels, the more it wants to squish out the side. You need to find a balance between grip and flow.

Found that out the hard way. Increased my vocubularly dramatically, and not in a good way. Used the Trident 250 to mostly print TPU - and other than stringing - pretty good prints - that is until I upgraded the printer from CW2  to the Galileo 2 extruder. Took me more than a day to get the balance right on this extruder. Nearly gave up, but all good now.

I'm working myself up to running TPU through the 330, I've got the spool in the filament drier, but it's a couple of year old so may be a non-starter.

Should be ok as long as you dry it out long enough. The consensus is a minimum of 8 hours - so go 12. And print it from the filament dryer when you start.

I'm leaving it in for 24 hours, and will be printing from the drier.
