Power Supply Question - Linking V- of 5 and 25 volt Power Supplies?

In the manual it shows linking the V- of the 5 and 24 volt power supplies. Is this correct?  Just want to make sure before I honk it up.

yes it'ok to link both negatives. Even necessary in many applications

Also I suggest looking up something called a "ground loop" which is something to avoid, since negative rail is often linked to ground, it creates a potential path for a ground loop.
