PI and BTT SKR MINI E3 V2.0 Software/Firmware Install

While I am still waiting for my printed parts for the V0.1 build I thought I would get the PI ready and the BTT Mini SKR E3 V2 .0 board.

I have followed the steps in getting the PI up and running on Mainsail OS.   I have established a printer config file on the PI.

I went through the steps to create the BIN file and have loaded it to an SD card changing the name to firmware.bin.

When I power it all up it appears to flash but in Mailsail OS I get this error.

I did power down and pull the MINI SKR sd card and it now reads firmware.cur

Not sure how to trouble shoot the connectivity.    The only thing I can think of is that I didn't configure correctly to create the BIN file as far as the various settings for the board.

I am not sure if I can SSH back into the PI and go back through the steps to recreate the bin file.

I believe the issue is I didn't update the serial line in the config file.. now I got to figure out what that value should be.

I found the correct value for serial.. it connects now but it loads up and then klippy-state shows shutdown... just does this over and over each time I click restart firmware.

I have flooded this thread just to figure out that the board was shutting down due to  ADC out of range

I had some spare thermistors close by plugged those in and now the board boots up and I get the full display in Mainsail OS.

Lots more to learn and one thing is I do not want to run headless.

I have a BTT Mini 12864 V1.0 but cannot figure out how to get that to work.   There is only one EXP on the SKR Mini E3 V2 and there is EXP 1 and EXP 2 on the lcd.

I have tried both ports and nothing along with updating printer config with some of LCD configs and still nothing.

not sure if "CR-10 12864" talks same as "BTT Mini 12864 V1.0" but the port labels are good sign I think

I found this adapter on Etsy and think per the description it will do the trick but I have no idea what to place into the config file.

I will give it a try when I get the adapter.

No way, this is super helpful! It save someone else the time to realize what they may have forgot as well. 

Keep us updated on the fix in place, i know at least I am curious!
