Heya all after building a hypercube it was time to build a voronstyle, i had left in the corner a older sapphire-s so after a lot of hours spend in F360,

I build a voron 2.4 with 8mm Axis instead of linear rails for the Z. Pictures will follow soon.

Welcome, looking forward to your build dairy and to see how it turns out. Why are you doing an 8mm axis? (just curious of the thought process behind it!)

I dont have any dairy because it was a ontherun draw/print/build project (still ongoing).

Didnt have the money to buy the linear and more at that moment, saying that also redesigned the XY-Joiners and using the X-Carrier(MGN12C) mod

since i only have MGN12C of the Sapphire-S

After a couple of hours (Read nearly a month) its printing.

With some own mods .... just 8mm axis for the Z axis

 

And instead of GT2 Motor im using Gears

The only thing i bought were the screws-hardware and the f695z
the rest is from older printer(s)

How do you feel so far - is performance what you were anticipating?

I'm still waiting for my 2.4 to arrive. lol

@Demosth Still busy with configuration etc. But with 60/70 hours work in a week, not doing much.

@SMURPH Good luck when it arrives, still i guess you buyed the whole kit.

I build mine with scrap parts from older and other printer.

I bought the whole kit kindda... I had to buy from different sellers. I wish there was an inventory list with pictures. Would you know if one exists?

None that I know of. Probably the best bet right now is go to the sourcing guide and follow the links to get to product pages. That will give an image of suggested parts, then you can go off searching.
