Hi guys, new here I have not built a Voron yet. I am in the uk and just organising the parts needed I have found a couple of uk sources for some of the parts had hoped to be able to buy a complete kit but due to Brexit it seems a lot of companies don't want to ship to the uk. Im a veteran Prusa user with 1 mk2, 1mk2.5 2 mk3s and a Zaribo can't wait to get to grips with a Voron 2.4

Welcome to the community!

As you find UK sources I think it would be fantastic to list those in a forum post to make it easier for other UK based people not to work through the same issue you are having!

(Quick edit - I found UK sourcing guide you can reference! )

Hello Merman! I'm about 80% through my first 2.4 build (wiring stage), and I purchased a kit from Formbot, shipped from China. I have to say, for someone that also lives in a place that is hard to source parts (Canada), I am very pleased with that quality of the Formbot kit. Much of the earlier complaints about the kit have been fixed. Good belts, gears and idlers. Hardware all stainless, instead of black oxide. Only 3 of the T slot nuts failed/came with no ball. A lot of spare hardware. Decent set of pre-crimped cables for mains power and motors, though they are all PVC. Came with hall sensor board. Drag chains that open. Octopus board, which is imo an upgrade from the BOM, Omron branded SSR, high quality bed heater. I had a dragon hot end already, so I'm replacing it, and I bought PTFE wires for this build, but that's it. The kit is quite complete. If you're having a hard time, maybe this is a good option for you. I paid $1390 CAD all in, to my door for the kit.

Hi, Thanks for the message I looked at the formbot kits and they looked ok but as usual you always hear the bad reports and never the good ones. You have answered my reservations I think I will order one as it seems a lot easier than having to source from multiple suppliers. I think the only thing I will have to source would be the bed heater as we are 240v here. Nice to know about the drag chains opening much better for building and maintenance. My first 3d printer was a prusa clone from china which was poor quality and loads missing from the kit but it did teach me an awful lot about 3d printers getting it working. Went on to building 5 genuine prusa's and a zaribo which were brilliant kits and have been very reliable printers. From what you are saying I will have the same experience with a formbot kit as I did with the genuine prusa printers. The only thing I really need to learn up on is the software side of the Voron.  Good luck with the rest of your build let me know how you get on. Regards Dave

Hi again Dave, wanted to give you an update on the kit. I just finished configuring the .cfg file in mainsail and homed the printer for the first time, everything is going well. The one thing I did not expect to take so long was the wiring. If you have no experience wiring A/C power, and crimping JST / Molex, it will definitely be an uphill battle. But not undoable; the Voron documentation on their website is really good. There are quite a few decent, thorough wiring guides on youtube as well. Discord is chaotic at times, but I found using the search function through previous chat was really helpful. If you need any help with the kit let me know! You can msg me here or on discord jpy.flight#2828

Hi Thats great news always exciting getting the first movements and homing done. I have ordered the formbot kit contacted them regarding the ac voltage of bed heater, they replied really fast and said they send the appropriate voltage for your country. So its a waiting game now. Started printing the ABS parts for it. I am an auto technician by trade specialising in hybrid and ev so hopefully the wiring won't be to taxing. The one thing I have found over the years is that the 3d printing community is brilliant with so many people doing guides videos and offering help it is a shame the rest of society wasn't the same. Looking forward for your first print. How was the software / firmware to configure, I have not used klipper or octoprint before so another learning curve. Good luck with finishing and printing.

Hey guys! Nero3d is great, but his topics are very broad some times.

The video linked down below was amazing during my build. I was kinda building along with this guy, even though he was using the SKR boards instead of the octopus. I took a lot of the inspiration for my wiring from him. I attached 2 photos of my wiring as well.
