Bondtech INDX released

Bondtech sales of the INDX system went live at 07:00 AEST. With the previous launch the website failed as it could not handle the volume of traffic. I was fortunate enough today to secure an INDX system with 4 passive tools. Early morning here in Oz but worth the effort I think. Not a cheap system by any means.

I am currently in the process of rebuilding my Trident 250 to the r2 version and plan to add the INDX system to this - Once I have the system, I will post a build diary.

Well, is anything cheap these days?

I said that because I also just put in an order for the INDX Dev. kit! 😃

By the way, I believe if you are going to use the Tool Dock 1515 you do not need the Tool Dock Hardware too. Furthermore, are you going to print your part cooling duct? I ordered the CPAP version.

Anyway, at least you do not have to pay for a stupid ($%@#$@) US tariff!

Not using CPAP but added the cooling ducts to the order. What I ordered are the components of the Dev Kit.

I got a set as well. One thing I found, the cooling ducts and tool docks can be printed at home saving some cost.

I wasn't aware of that - good to know for future reference if I want to switch to CPAP. You know, I never even thought to look at the GitHub. Was too keen to get my hands on a set  to even bother 😄

The integration for the Voron 2.4 and Trident r2 is on printables. If you already upgraded to Trident r2 , there is minimal reprinting to do. These links are on the Bondtech INDX page but I nearly missed them so I thought I'd share them here.

I was a little sticker shocked compared with the earlier price!  Not saying it’s not worth it and would love to build a new printer with INDX.  Probably trident this time!  Just need to budget for it now that the kids is starting college.  Big bills to pay lol

I have seen hartk1213 2.4 integration by reversing the head; personally, I am not thrilled with this approach of having to "drag" all tooldocks and tubes up and down during printing and replacing the gantry 2020 extrusion with a 1515. I am working on a design to have the 1515 extrusion, tooldocks and nozzle wipe placed almost at the top of the cube and leave the gantry alone with only the toolhead.

I will drop some images when I have a prototype.

One of the reasons I am putting it on a Trident. Looking to your design with interest.

I have too!

All my Voron are 2.4! 😃

I thought I saw a design for the 2.4 that had the hot-end tools on an arm that moves up and down on the front so you don’t lose space.  I can’t seem to find it though so maybe a fever dream of longing for the INDX lol
