A custom toolchanger design for the Mercury Zero printer.

Recommended Posts

Hello—I’m new here. I am designing my own tool-changing solution for the Mercury Zero printer, which I built some time ago. This is my fourth attempt at this project; a lot has happened in the market recently regarding multi-color printing, but I believe my solution will still be worth checking out. In my current design, I’ve managed to fit in seven interchangeable print heads, though I’m currently experimenting to see if I can squeeze in even more. The printer is built upon an Ender 5 Pro frame. The build plate size I’ve managed to accommodate so far measures 256 x 256 mm, but I’m currently exploring whether it’s possible to create an even more compact version of the print heads and extruder assembly.
