Viele Gruesse aus Deutschland!

I've been reading and writing here for a while now, and I realized I haven't introduced myself yet. I'd like to correct that.

My name is Stefan, and I'm from Germany. I'm a chemist by profession and a father of two girls. Since my childhood, I've always been interested in electronics, engineering, DIY projects, and repairing things. When the first consumer 3D printers appeared on the market, I knew immediately: I want to have one of those machines in my workshop.

My wife asked me at the time: A 3D printer, really? What do you need that for? But that was a long time ago...She now knows  what for...

I've been working with 3D printing since 2010. My first printer was an Open-builds-Hadron, which I used to learn and experiment with a lot. After that came 2017 an Ender-3. When the first Voron printers appeared on the internet, I was immediately fascinated by their compactness and capability. So I build my first Voron in 2018 by self-sourcing (not a kit), in the meanwhile I own three.

3D printing has revolutionized my DIY projects because it bridges the gap between the electronics and mechanics of my projects, offering thousands of new possibilities for relatively easily creating complex things myself. 3D printers are not an end in themselves for me, but rather tools for realizing my projects.
I like this forum and the people here. I'm happy to be part of this community.

Greetings
Stefan
