A busy printing weekend

Recommended Posts

So, one of my work colleagues (a lovely French lady) asked me if I could produce some parts for her father's campervan.

She wanted 10 of each in white, grey and black. I have those colours in ABS so ABS was the material of choice.

After drawing the parts up in Onshape it was a case of printing them out.

It was a tricky print to these as they are very thinly built, some of the edges are 0,7mm thick. They have a diameter of 19,8mm.

I had to tune the print for each colour as they all had different expansion characteristics.

I'm getting a selection for fine French wines for my work.

How did you get this carbon-fabric-like optic? Did you print on Carbon fiber sheet?
Looks good!

It's a cheap carbon optik bed sheet that I got from 3D Jake

A word of caution - they are not very robust, if you use nano polymer adhesive the carbon effect comes away from the bed.
