Voron Trident Z-tilt retries aborting : probed points range is increasing

ggandia

Question

Hello

My Siboor June 24 Trident 350 AWD, the printer was working fine until i did a update. The error massage is during Z- tilt test (retries aborting: probe points range is increasing). After a little over of a year of operation this problem did show up after a update, I have check and found many loose screw in the motion system and corrected that by retightening the screws but that was not it, I'm sure was a contributing factor.  Any suggestion of what to look to get the problem corrected is welcome.

I just went through the same thing with my Trident and V2. I checked updates this morning, and there was a new one for the probe.

Hello Friends good news the problem is corrected😇. The short story is Klipper has a software bug, The lessons learn in this few days! How to used resources like AI asking the right question and Discord to learn if any other people encounter the same issues. Using Kiauh advances features I was able to down grade to Klipper V0.13.0-226 from

V0.13.0-272, after the correct stable version was establish. My next step was to do a 0 day clean build for just in case few bad clusters of  the Gremlins code lingers in the PI CM4. Question what is the best way to learn in advances if a update is safe to install.

Thank you for the helping hands

for this question i have some personal rules

* I never update my working printers 🙂

* i alway clone SD / SSD after each changes (on a nas it's quite fast and allow to retreive a functional printers very quickly)

* when it's big maintenace/mod time : i do a fresh new install
