Yeah, it looks like a custom mount. It's difficult to design to someone else's stuff, not at all surprised that they went their own way. I would do the same.

It looks like a nice design though and very similar to the Voron.

Cartographer bolts straight on with a usb extension direct to the Nitehawk 36. Very slick and works very well with no adjustments required. Beacon will likely as well.

Have been running my JW for a couple of months now and no issues. Revisioning of parts is slowing down now but all parts have a marking on them so you can see where you are vs the latest release which is really really helpful. Mine is still quite an early build - likely a reprint to bring it to the latest revision soon.

A few people had issues with the 44/17 stripping but it looks like those were uncalibrated (ABS shrinkage?) prints and the recommendation is to drop amps on the stepper to 0.5A to mitigate. Grip on the filament is really good even at 0.5A - it skips before it shreds.

Mine has around 60h of pla so far - (had a long holiday) very happy with the build so far and the conch is supposedly 30 to 35mm3. Earlier versions were fixed nozzle and later batches were the conch M6 with removeable nozzle.

A good 100g less then the SB so throw it on something quick 🙂

One thing to note - you gain (approx) 8mm in Z height on a Trident.

Word of warning - the 2510 fan on the front is very fragile - a few souls have put their finger through it when assembling / mounting and, as it is a new design, spare parts are pretty scarce.

Does the cartographer have the contact feature like the beacon does or do you have to use a z switch.

I like the idea of not having the extra cable running through my cable chains like my beacon does.  Especially since etheir cable isn’t cable chain rated.

The current version has touch available. I am using touch and it seems to work pretty well. With the nighthawk 36 it is very easy to plug in. I will be installing one on a SHT36 when I get my A4T printed for my other machine and that one is flashed for CAN and connected to the SHT36 board. The same unit can be flashed back and forward between CAN and USB.

I was a bit of a sceptic but it was a very smooth changeover from Klicky.

Thanks man....  Summer is ending so I'm heading back indoors to fire up the machines...maybe a few upgrades on the way  🙂

Sorry for the late reply, I was out of town for the past few weeks... Yes, there's a lot of really nice stuff out there since your last visit.

I just need one last component for my VzBot toolhead upgrade and picked up some parts from @Fabreeko_Hector while I was in Ft. Lauderdale. for my RatRig.

I checked out some really nice carbon fiber build plates he had as well as some really large printers.

Again, Good to see ya around. 👍

I’ve got the two complete jabberwockys I bought.  I also bought two kits.

anybody built one yet.  I’m wanting to order the Phaetus conch  but I’m not sure which one to get and what heater or thermistor to get.

I asked the company I bought the kits from and all they told me is the phaetus conch hot end.

So has anyone printed their own parts and built one yet?

if you have. What’s the secret to getting the supports off the print.

For general printing it expects a flat 0.2mm layer height.

Print settings here:

I had issues with the shroud built in supports and brought it up under the discord group but, the general concensus was to simply clean it up. This was noted by @kinematicdigid and he was going to see what could be done in future revisions with improving the built in supports.

Overall it did clean up ok'ish as they are mainly hidden. Looking at the picture the support bridging was collapsing as it was trying to bridge while printing a curve. Overall it came out and is functional but that interface layer does suffer from it. image.thumb.png.6c357cd541e2706e0cd75e94fed2f2fc.pngimage.thumb.png.02a0db903e908c7003390ec949a21981.pngimage.thumb.png.7e8a959505ff8f5a52021075a7a2237f.png

Ok I bought the assembled kit, but I don't know where to get the mount for a linear rail. I've looked for weeks and can't find anything that is downloadable

Here is the link to the mounts:
