You would think that the major componet makers would have guides on how to connect thier products together ?

I purpously bought all BTT products thinking it would be easier to get them working together, but it really doesnt matter that much ?

Would are your thoughts?

BTT's documents are pretty bad, but they are much better than they were.

There are worse.

I'm more curious what exactly you bought, and what you couldn't find out.

So you said you bought all Bigtreetech products. They do have a lot of those. Any particular list?

What was the product that you got stuck on trying to use it, and what is it exactly you couldn't find?

Personally, I find the CAD models, menuconfig settings, and pinouts most helpful. The rest of their manuals is hit or miss.

I've also heard of QC concerns from BTT, but personally, I tested:

- SKR Mini E3 v3

- SKR Mini E3 v2

- 37 SKR Picos

- BTT MMB v1.1

- 4 EZ2209s

The only defective one out of all of the above was one of the EZ drivers. I also managed to fry part of the SKR Mini E3 v2, but that's user error on my part feeding 12V to the neopixel port.

Octopus 1.1 ,BTT Pi,SB2209 tool head(can) ,EDDY usb ,BTT MINI12864&(BL touch)

Octopus 1.1 ,BTT Pi,EB 42 tool board  tool head (can),EDDY coil ,TFT35 SPI V2.1 ,U2C v2.1 & (BL touch) and parts off a TRONXY 5sa

Could find all parts indivdualy no issues ,but some were vage on how they connect to ech other ,and my first trident and based on voron and my first klipper ever .

So big learning curve .want to run Bl touch for z-end stop and eddy just for mesh .will get a power off  module and print resume  and wire them in at some point .

This combo right here just screams "PROBLEMS" to me.

If it were me... I would dump the Eddy and the BLTouch and get a Beacon-RevH... there's a big reason why they are still in business selling $80 PCBs the size of a postage stamp. It's because they work and once you set it up you never have to dick around with it. And the best part is... every 1st layer will be a perfect 1st layer. Your printer will be so reliable that it will be as boring as printing a 30-page document on your Epson.

I apologize for recommending that you replace items with an expensive one but... What works is more important that what's cheap or that it's the same brand IMO.

Ok. Sound not too far off what I'm running (although I'm not using the octopus at the moment and the one octopus I do have is the earlier 1.0 before that mad chip shortage that happened during COVID ) but yeah the rest of that I do have. I've also changed up a tiny bit to the Eddy Duo to start just to continue the CAN chain. Getting ready to set that back up.

There's been a newer development called Eddy-ng by an individual which from reading has made some big leaps over stock if a person wants that nozzle touch aspect ( which I'm told started on the Beacon but as others learned how it was done some made the equivalent on the Eddy and the cartographer)

My plan is to test each out and make my own decision as to BEST.

Because that word is an adjective. It says that the item described is the most ideal by the opinion of the person speaking it. It's not always the Best for every person ( sometimes for more reasons than some consider )

If you get stuck, let me know and I'll do what I can to try and help. If need be 1 on 1 where opinion can be left at the door and just make it work and if it's best for you. Then great. If not then you'll be able to move to something else 😁👍
