Hello,

I'm 3DCoded, a 3D printing enthusiast. I currently have a Klipperized Prusa MK3S+ Bear with a Stealthburner (that's a mouthful!) and am planning on getting a V2.4 350mm soon.

I am the creator of the 3MS: Modular Multimaterial System for Klipper, and the developer of DynamicMacros and KlipperMaintenance.

I'm excited to be a part of this community!

Welcome to the forum! Happy to have you here.

That is quite the modified Prusa you have. How well does it work?

Those are some interesting projects. I'll definitely have to look at the maintenance one--I did have Home Assistant set up with the Moonraker plugin doing that. Up until my system crashed and I had to reload it. I haven't had time to rebuild that yet.

Thank you for the welcome!

My Prusa prints much faster than originally (near Voron speeds at 20k accel and 600mm/s), and has near the same quality as the original Prusa. I think the decreasing quality is due to the fact that I need to dry my filament, and I haven't gotten to per-filament tuning yet.

I forgot to mention that my Prusa runs on three mainboards!

  1. Original Einsy RAMBo controls Z, hotend, heatbed, and probe, T0 and T1
  2. SKR Mini E3 V2 controls T2, extruder
  3. Arduino Nano controls fans and filament sensors

I had to add the Arduino because I accidentally plugged in the output for a 12V servo into the neopixel plug on my SKR (I used the same wire coloring) and released the magic smoke. Luckily, I had a a spare MOSFET so I could get my print fan working again on the Arduino. I still have no idea how the SKR can still drive steppers...

A late welcome.  I’m seeing this because I am interested in your 3MS system.  Wondering if anyone on here has built it and can attest to its performance.
I currently have PicoMMU and have issues with miss loads and filament detection issues.

I specifically designed the 3MS to use off the shelf, proven parts. The main point of failure for many systems, the filament drive, usually fails because  it’s a custom design. The 3MS uses standard printer extruders. The most common choices are an Ender 3 extruder or a BMG clone.

If you’re looking for other 3MS users, the best place is probably the 3MS discord (link on GitHub and docs homepage).
