How do I fix this?

TitusADuxass

Question

@Dirk I've started a new thread.

It's a v0.1/2 Manta M5P and EBB36 setup.

It was working but now I get the mcu is unable to connect.

The last klipper log entry is:

=======================
Extruder max_extrude_ratio=0.266081
mcu 'mcu': Starting CAN connect
Created a socket
mcu 'mcu': Unable to open CAN port: [Errno 19] No such device
webhooks client 281473280765616: New connection
webhooks client 281473280765616: Client info {'program': 'Moonraker', 'version': 'v0.8.0-331-gc857e1a'}

The hosts window gives me:

Host(aarch64, 64bit)

OS: BTT-CB1 2.3.4 Bullseye
Load: 0, Mem: 986.9 MB, Temp: 45°C
wlan0 (192.168.2.230) : Bandwidth: 2.4 kB/s , Received: 6.5 MB , Transmitted: 1.1 MB

That looks like the CB1 is working

The machine interface tells me that Klipper is dirty, KlipperScreen is dirty and Moonraker is corrupt.

I've tried repairing the 3 above but have met with no success.

I suspect that I will have to a complete reinstall of the board firmware, katapult and klipper. I am fairly sure that the EBB36 is okay, but I'll worry about that when I get the board sorted.

ust finished my ldo voron 0.2 build.  My first print after tuning and got the following error.  Reloaded everything and get the same error.  I’ve replaced the revo voron with a brand new one  thinking that was the problem   Any ideas?

you thermal sensor is not connected ... or there's a mistake on pin definition.

check toolhead temperature sensor wires and extruder section in printer.cfg.

Swapped hot ends and smae error.  Checked confug files.

do you have a can board on your V0 ? (mcu called umb)

is the card ok ?

pt100/1000 or basic NTC thermistor ?

if you unplug hotend thermistor (printer unplugged) : what t° is shown ?

if you shorten hotend thermistor connector pins (printer unplugged) : what t° is shown ?

I have the pico umbilical. Double checked the thermistor settings.  I had run through the tuning guides and did the lids and everything was fine.

as I said.  Did a first print that was about a half hour long.  It got down the the last six layers and ten this.  So wondering now if the board has gone bad.

brand new hot end swapped out. Revo voron.  And reprogrammed everything and get the exact same error.  And I believe the temperature it’s claiming is exactly the same

you can try this to check if card ADC input is dead (or not)

one should be very cold, other very hot.

if there are no changes : adc input is not working.

I didn’t short the pins like you said.

I got home and turned it in and it worked for a couple of minutes.  Then got the umb disconnect adc error message because the thermistor was reading negative.  So I powered down and disconnected the hot end thermistor and turned it back on and got the same error message.  An it appears to me that either the tool head board or the pico umbilical is bad.

going to notify the seller and see if they’ll do anything.  If not I’ll just order a new board

that's normal behaviour when disconnected -> iinfinite resistance -> negative value

but when shorted -> no resistance -> high temperature should be displayed.

Try re-seating the umbilical. I had trouble with it when I first built my V0.2. I carefully used a small screwdriver to make sure each pin was firmly seated and haven't had a problem related to that cable since. For some reason that particular plug is really tight and doesn't want to seat firmly easily.

I cut a zip tie that I had around the tool head umbilical part.  Double checked the connections and the problem went away.  Printed the large knob for the wrist watch g2 and it printed fine.  Then printed another part for the wwg2.  It was an hour and a half print. Ten minutes in it cancelled the print saying the hotend had gotten to low a temp.  Three more attempts and it printed less and less.  But Klipper never shut down.

I’ll double check the pins and I’ve already ordered a new cable too.

Well.  I’m not having hot end issues.  But now filament isn’t loading.

did 6 hours of printing with no filament and klipper never shut down once.

Ao I’ll take the extruder apart and see what’s up with it.  Think the stepper motor gears may have slipped or something.  Because when I do a load filament it’s starts clicking like the teeth of the gear aren’t meshing anymore.

so close to doing a serial number request
