approximately 1.6 kg for primary color and 0.3 kg for accent color as long as you don't have any print failures

I would consider these amounts to be an absolute minimum required and that is if everything is printed correctly the first time.

Speaking from experience with my 300 V2.4 build.  I went through at least a third of roll of my choosen filament (Polylite ABS) calibrating and fine tuning my settings unti I was satisified with the results. Secondly I had a few printed part failures (normally attributed to plain old operater induced errors) which I had to reprint. Thirdly one always comes across a simple mod that they would like to incorporate in their build. And in my case after I just completed printing all my parts to my satisfaction V2.4r2 came on line so I had to reprint a whole bunch of new parts, I had not started assembly at that point so it wasn't an issue.

So I would suggest purchasing 3 x 1kg rolls of your primary color and 1 x 1kg roll of your secondary color should do you through the build.
