*** Nevermind*** it was a browser issue... Klipper web page showing that cfg files are blank, but they are in tact when I nano the files in SSH

Just when I think I'm moving forward...

I followed the instructions here to get my printer to backup the config files to github, and it successfully backed up there.

the weird thing now, is that when I click on the machine tab in the klipper web page, all of my config files, if I try to edit them,  all come up blank.  

If I SSH in and nano the printer.cfg (or any of the others in the /printer_data/config folder) they all look fine and are totally in tact.  all of my macros are still on the dashboard, everything looks fine except that the webcam doesn't come up on the dashboard anymore.  But trying to edit them in there is useless.  I tried to copy from github and paste it into the crowsnest.cfg file, saved and restarted.  Everything came up same as it was, but the files are still not readable and the changes to the crowsnest.cfg file don't show in the machine tab, it is still showing it as blank.

any other thoughts on what could be causing this?

I am guessing that somehow the permissions on them were changed so the webpage doesn't have permission now. attached is a pic of the file permissions, does that look right?

in messing around with it, I realized that the file editor won't show any files. it shows that all of the files exist, but regardless of which "root" I select in the config files section of the Machine tab, all of the files come up blank in the editor.  I guess something was corrupted in whatever runs the editor, but I'm hoping someone has an idea before I just wipe it and restore the config files from backup.

False alarm.  it was a problem with my browser apparently.  That's several hours I won't get back.
