Timelapse Filament Retract Settings?

When using the park function in the timelapse macro, what filament retract settings are you guys using?

The default 1mm, gives me alot of little strings that have to be brushed off after the model is finished.

I upped it to 2mm, but it still turns out the same.

If I keep upping the settings and test printing, over and over, it'll take forever to get dialed in.  Anyone experienced this and found a good setting?

Here is a timelapse with the retract set to 2mm:

The little strings are easy to brush off and don't negatively effect the model, but it would be nice to not have this issue without spending a week to find good settings.
