Embedded Part Printing

Recommended Posts

Check out this printing technique...

Basically, you split up a model that needs support so that you print the embedded part first, then print the mating part and pause it so that you can insert the embedded part, then resume the print. the printer then fuses the embedded parts together.

When I took the Prusa Research "Design Principles for 3d Printed Parts" class, there was a section that covered this.  Its a pretty neat technique.

The class was online, cheap and only took a couple hours.
