What are the "extra" config files?

I have a few "extra" config files.  I have attached a picture of what I am talking about.  I did the PID calibrate for the extruder and then the bed.  Each time I did a SAVE_CONFIG in the command line.  I am assuming that it is saving them as the printer-20*********_*****.cfg files?  Do I then need to go in and rename the latest one to printer.cfg to incorporate the latest configuration adjustments?  Seems an odd way to do it...

The printer.cfg should be the latest one, the other are backup files.

And quite useful at times when you made a mistake, also just delete them after a few days/weeks but leave 2 or 3 of them...

Backup your files anyhow ones ever now and then.. there is a github backup "mod" somewhere..

I often just download them one by one to my pc, or use winscp and copy the folder.
